Recording your EMDR session for supervision

We often get the question from therapists how they can record the session for supervision and we would like to give you a tip on how to do this easily yourself with EMDR Platform. With the description below you can easily record the entire session, including the videos of you and your client, your control panel and the EMDR mini-screen. This way the supervisor can review the entire session.

Warning: always ask your client's permission first and respect his or her privacy at all times.  Follow the rules that apply to you as a care provider on the basis of your professional code of conduct and the law. The video of the session is recorded locally on your computer. Make sure that your computer and the recording are secure and that you share the video safely with your supervisor.

• Step 1: Download the simple plug-in for Chrome or Edge at https://scre.io/
• Step 2: Once the plug-in is installed in your browser, open it by clicking on the puzzle piece in the top right-hand corner.
• Step 3: Next, you can adjust the language if you want in the settings section and, if necessary, select your standard microphone. To start recording, choose (1) Screen only, (2) System + microphone and (3) Start recording.
• Step 4: Choose (1) a Chrome tab, (2) your EMDR Platform browser tab, (3) including audio and (4) start sharing.
• Step 5: You will now see a blue frame around your tab showing that your session is being recorded. At the end of the session click on stop sharing to end the recording.
• Step 6: You save the recording by clicking Save, after which the recording can be found in your default download folder:
